Royal arse pain in the neck...

So the geniuses at Sony decide to have members merge their PSU IDs with their PSN IDs. (PSU = Playstation Underground - PSN = Playstation Network). All fine and dandy until you run into one tiny problem...

PSU ID and PSN ID both use the same e-mail address and password...

Whoopsies...

So after inputting the same password and wondering why the system blows the raspberry I figured I'd change my PSU password to something else. Turns out the original password was valid until they cut it down to 12 characters leaving out the all crucial numerical numbers at the end of my password.

So now... a shorter password and linked accounts.

That took what? An hour to figure out WTF was up... yeesh.

I don't see why Sony MUST have your personal information like email and [other] just for you to play a game on their PS equipment that you already spent a ton of money on.

Its more for billing on the PS3's marketplace thing. Though I've yet to see anything on the marketplace worth spending money on.

There is stuff, just depending on ur tastes and games. I actually buy things >_>; But so far only Warhawk maps and a Dead Space armor... all of which i LOVE.

Its a Playstation Underground "PSU" ID. Called a PSU ID before Phantasy Star Universe came out.

Quite a pain really, having to merge the accounts when Sony should've thought things through a tad more than listening to some drunk idea...
